In the summer of 2008, I went to Japan as part of the Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Program. The three-week trip was intended to give participants an overview of Japan's educational system and culture and to promote greater understanding between our two countries.
There were 160 teachers from all 50 states who went on the trip.
